So we decided to go to Downsview park. I checked it out on the internet and the design seemed really interesting. Well we saw the design but to our surprise it is still quite desolate. Lots of trees have been planted and in about 10-20 years this will be a lovely park. The Park is quite far out from down town Toronto but it is served by the very efficient TTC subway as far as Downsview. We got off part way up to look round the Yorkdale mall and to have lunch before continuing up to Downsview. You still need a bus (or it\'s a fairly long walk) to get from the Downsview subway station (end of the line currently) into the Park itself. The 101 bus runs into the Park during summer but there had been very little information about the bus services running into the Park for the concert. In fact, there was very little information about the concert on the Park web page and my email enquiry did not generate a reply either. Luckily we found that the 101 bus was waiting just outside the station and it dropped off right at the Park gate. We got into the Park, through security,without problem but we did arrive reasonably early. The weather was good luckily as this is basically a grass field. ACDC were awesome as expected and it was a great evening. At the end of he concert there were huge crowds trying to get out the gates but everyone was very polite. There were buses going back to the TTC station - but there were so many people and vehicles that they were going nowhere fast. Therefore, along with many others, we chose to walk back to the subway (to be sure of getting there before the trains stopped for the day), which took about 30 mins at a reasonable pace. There is a safe area to walk alongside the road and it is easy to find the way. I\'ve seen Megadeth, Foster the People, and AC/DC among others and enjoy the freedom to wander, snack, and photograph from many different angles. There\'s no seating, strictly a standing venue. I\'ve never had trouble finding parking however getting in and out of the lot is usually horrendous. My friends and I were stuck in total gridlock for about three hours trying to get to the AC/DC concert last September. Was about the same trying to escape afterwards. We started getting upset when the 401 highway was gridlocked with traffic, no OPP police or Metro Police could be found to direct traffic. We missed 45 minutes of the concert and we got into the concert area it was standing only. We enjoyed the few songs, stage show but never again are we coming back to this location unless they pay us. Promotors must not use this venue for concerts unless you want a riot.
